Ronnie Farley is an award-winning American photographer and author. Her work spans over four decades documenting the human experience in relationship to place, especially through women’s stories. Her images have appeared in Rolling Stone, USA Today, Sierra Magazine, Native Peoples, Western Horseman, The Sunday Times of London, New York Newsday and The Village Voice.
Farley continues to focus on water, Indigenous communities and women’s resilience. Her life-long commitment to advocacy through art has kept her engaged in book projects and multimedia art practices highlighting the urgency of the planet’s well-being.
In addition to her own photography, Ronnie Farley’s career includes working for the Associated Press in New York City as photographer, photo librarian, and national photo editor between 1982 and 2001. She currently resides in Beacon, New York.
