Feeding Cattle

Kathy Miller, Daniel, Wyoming, 1993

“All year round, I get up anywhere between five and five-thirty in the morning. Most of the time, it’s a seven-day-a-week job.

Those cattle are our kids. My cows are always fed before nine in the morning. I make sure they have enough hay and that they have good shelter, enough water, salt and all the things they need to look healthy and keep healthy. I try to be there to make sure that they don’t suffer, especially during calving.”
