Beatrice is 86 years old and lives on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. She is one of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, a global alliance that teaches ancestral ways of prayer, education, and healing. Beatrice has been a health care worker for the tribe since 1974, and today delivers medicines to TB patients on the reservation.
